Moebius Strip
A
Moebius Strip is a
two-dimensional surface that contains a half-twist in three-space,
thereby giving it the curious property of having only one side and one
edge. If you were to crawl over a Moebius surface, you could
visit every point without ever crossing an edge.

Geometry Book.

If
a Moebius strip is cut starting in the middle of the band and
continuing along the surface "once around," the band will not split
into two pieces, rather it will remain intact and become twice as long
and half as thin.
The Moebius strip is named posthumously for August Ferdinand Moebius
(1803-1868), a German mathematician who first described its properties.
